This was just before 8AM. This area was not used by many dedicated aviation enthusiasts, due to the double-layered fence between spectators and the taxiway. Stepladders and tripods were banned, for safety reasons. It later filled up and there was a traffic jam on Airport Drive, which unfortunately delayed passengers catching flights out of the airport.

View of part of the massive cargo hold – this is the cargo going to Dubai World Centre and then Milan. The cargo hold is 43 metres long, 6.4 metres wide and 4.4 metres tall. On the ceiling, there is a four-point lifting crane which can carry up to 30 tonnes. The crane can move along rails on the roof to ease loading and unloading.
