China Southern today officially switched to newer Airbus A330-300 aircraft on services between Guangzhou and Perth (departing Guangzhou on 28 October 2017), with replacing the Airbus A330-200s previously used and increasing services from four per week to five per week.
The return of the A330-300 will see newer versions of the type used, with a different configuration; 258 seats, comprising 30 business class, 41 premium economy and 187 economy seats.
Three of these newer A330-300s have already visited Perth: B-8426 on 25-26 August 2017; B-8358 on 7 September 2017; and B-8360 on 22-23 September 2017.
The schedule from 28 October 2017 moves to five services per week, all of which will be morning arrivals and departures at Perth, instead of the previous two night/two morning schedule:
CZ319 departs Guangzhou 2230 (Tue/Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun) – arrives 0635 in Perth (Wed/Thu/Sat/Sun/Mon)
CZ320 departs Perth at 0830 (Wed/Thu/Sat/Sun/Mon) – arrives at Guangzhou at 1630 the same day.

History of China Southern services to Perth
The airline first commenced services to Perth on 9 November 2011 using older Airbus A330-300s on the Guangzhou – Perth route, which initially operated three times per week and later increased to four times per week. These older A330-300s were configured with 287 seats (4 First Class, 24 Business Class, 48 Premium Economy, 211 Economy).
Aircraft types used on the route have changed as follows (dates are arrival dates in Perth):
