QR920 from Doha to Auckland, at 36,000 feet, at 6:34pm. This was the second longest scheduled air route in the world at the time, 9,032 miles or 14,535 kilometres, taking around 17 hours 50 minutes to complete the trip. Today, it departed Doha at 2:18am Doha time (7:18am Perth time) and arrived at Auckland at 5:10am the next morning (1:10am Perth time), a total of 16 hours 52 minutes. The return flight takes longer.
