The crew of this Caribou were kind enough to let me visit the cockpit and walk along the fuselage and wings. A4-235 was delivered to the RAAF in August 1965. Damaged 23 November 1991 during a STOL training exercise at Scotts Peak, Tasmania – it ran off the end of the airstrip and the nose wheel collapsed after running into a ditch. The aircraft was repaired and flown back to Richmond, then Amberley on 3 April 1992 with the gear down, but it was later decided to write off the aircraft.
