17 PC-9/As of 2 FTS in ‘Thunderbird’ formation – RAAF No.223/224 Pilots Course Graduation at RAAF Pearce

RAAF pilots graduated today from the combined Number 223/224 Pilots Course with No.2 Flying Training School at RAAF Base Pearce.

Each Graduation Day ceremony finishes with the  massed “Thunderbird” formation flypast by Pilatus PC-9/A trainer aircraft of 2 FTS, flown by the graduates.

17 PC-9/As were flown in Thunderbird formation today, approaching Perth city up the river from the direction of Rottnest Island, and on up to RAAF Pearce for a flypast at 16:10.
