AirAsia X is increasing flight frequency between Kuala Lumpur and Perth. The current D7 232/ D7 233 service currently operates on Tue, Wed, Fri and Sun, but will go daily from 24 November 2013. Operated by Airbus A330-300.
China Southern Airlines is to switch from Airbus A330-300s to A330-200s on Beijing-Guangzhou-Perth services from 1 April 2013.
Emirates: The daily EK422/EK423 service, which is currently operated by Boeing 777-200LR will switch to Boeing 777-300ER from 16 March 2013.
Qantas:
- The final QF67/QF68 Perth/Hong Kong service operates on Sunday 31 March 2013.
- The Perth/Singapore service is being reduced – from 15 April 2013, the QF71/QF72 is being eliminated, and QF77/78 is being rescheduled from 15 April 2013. Schedule after 15 April 2013: QF78 SIN1810 – 2320PER /QF77 PER0950 – 1520SIN
Singapore Airlines:
- The Airbus A330-300 is to be withdrawn from Singapore Airlines’ Perth services from 12 May 2013. From 10 May, A330-300 aircraft will only operate on Friday and Saturday for the afternoon SQ213/SQ226, then from 12 May 2013 the A330s will be replaced with Boeing 777-200ER.
- From 10 May 2013, the SQ224/225 morning service reduces frequency with no service on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and this will last until 23 May 2013.
Skippers Aviation is currently recruiting its Fokker 100 crews, and expects to start F100 operations from Perth in the second week of May 2013. The first two F100s are PH-KXR (cn 11410) and PH-LXG (cn 11420), which are currently in Bratislava being painted all-white before delivery. The identity of the third Fokker 100 is not yet known.
Tiger Airways (Singapore) is adding an extra evening Perth – Singapore service from 1 July 2013, using Airbus A320 aircraft four days per week on TUE/THU/FRI/SAT:
