The Royal Flying Doctor Service, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary, is planning to seek more corporate sponsorship in order to put the organisation on a more sustainable financial footing.
As part of this drive, the RFDS invited a number of WA corporate executives to tour their Western Operations base at Jandakot Airport. RFDS Western Operations coordinates a fleet of 15 aircraft and their pilots, doctors and nurses.
In 2011-12, the RFDS assisted more than 39,000 patients in WA.
