From 1 September 2014, Garuda Indonesia will commence using Airbus A330-300 aircraft on Perth / Denpasar services, instead of Boeing 737-800s.
The airline will cease operating the afternoon GA726/GA729 service between Perth and Denpasar (Bali), currently operated by Boeing 737-800s. The morning GA728/GA727 service, which also currently uses 737-800s, will use larger widebodied Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
GA728 departs Denpasar at 19:00, arriving at Perth at 22:45, and departs Perth the following morning at 07:20, arriving at Denpasar by 11:00. The first A330 service arrives on 1 September at 22:45, departing on 2 September at 07:20.
Garuda has faced strong competition on the Perth – Bali services, from Indonesia Air Asia, Jetstar and Virgin. The morning departures from Perth are perhaps the most popular, to give travellers more time on their arrival into Bali.
Garuda’s other service to Perth, the GA724/GA725 service to Jakarta, will continue to use Boeing 737-800s.
Can you pre book your seats on the A330-300 Perth to Bali flights ?
Hi Lynette,
I believe that you can pre-book your seats if your booking is through a travel agent, otherwise you need to wait until online check-in is available.
