Horizontal Fall Seaplane Adventures was awarded a gold medal at the 32nd Australian Tourism Awards ceremony in Darwin on 24 February 2017.
The family owned and operated company has been operating Cessna 208 Caravan seaplanes on seaplane adventure tours in the Kimberley region of Western Australia since 2006, attracting over 10,000 tourists each year.
The fleet comprises five Cessna Caravans, one helicopter, three fast boats and three houseboats.
One of their most popular tours is the Derby Overnighter where tourists fly to Horizontal Falls in a Caravan seaplane, ride a fast boat through the falls, cruise through the nearby bays and creeks, enjoy a dinner of cooked barramundi fish, sleep on a houseboat and fly back to Derby after a scenic flight over Buccaneer Archipelago and King Sound.
