  1. Ref attracting new airlines to Perth, great to see ANA starting in September and hope it is a success.
Not so good was departure of ETIHAD last October, however ET seems to be in some sort of financial woes through heavy investments in tin pot airlines in Europe, all of which failed.
EMIRATES now pulling out of the daily 0600 departure, so will just have the two late evening QR and EK A380s departing behind each other.
BATIK going and maybe MALINDO as well ( time will tell ) no doubt attributed to the LION AIR 737 crash last year.
Indian airlines hopefully will return, but we need to be careful we allow in the right ones for Australia, obviously AIR INDIA would be the choice or SPICEJET.
I dont believe the QF LHR/PER direct has brought any more tourists to Perth, the tourism board would like it to have been so, so we dont actually need all those luxury hotels they are planning to build in that useless Elizabeth Quay area…what a total waste of money that was !
10/10 for Perth Airport for securing ANA

    1. Batik are not ceasing services to Perth – they are reducing to one per day from March 2019.
Malindo has not indicated any reduction in services.
Regarding Indian carriers, IndiGo is the largest in India and their service is good. Vistara is another good airline – a joint venture between Tata and Singapore Airlines. Air India is not renowned for its service. Spicejet was in financial trouble some time ago but seems to have rebounded.
It is possible that Etihad and Emirates have lost some passenger traffic to a combination of Qantas (787-9 direct), Cathay (A350), and Singapore (787-10).
