The Federal Government’s annual RAU Program enhances the safety and accessibility of aerodromes in remote towns to assist the movement of essential good and services.
In Round Seven of the RAU program, the following projects were funded for airstrips in Western Australia:
- Ardyaloon Airstrip Boundary Fence Replacement
- Coral Bay Airstrip Improvements
- Djarindjin Lombadina Aerodrome Solar Runway Lighting Installation
- Gascoyne Junction Airstrip Reseal
- Gnowangerup Aerodrome RNAV Instrument Flight Procedure Design
- Parnngurr Community Airstrip and Apron Upgrade
- Tjuntjuntjara Airstrip Lighting System Upgrade
- Wanarn Airstrip Lighting Upgrade
- Warburton Airstrip Upgrade
- Wyndham Aerodrome Perimeter Fence Replacement
Submissions for RAU Round 8 have now closed and these are being assessed.
