VH-DED Rutan 33 VariEze VariJet (MSN W91) owned by Geoffrey Danes, Jandakot Airport – 8 May 2021. Built as a piston-powered VariEze by Geoff Danes and first flown on 12 September 1979, this was the second VariEze built in Australia. From around 2010, the aircraft was slowly converted to jet power, using a Turbomeca Palas, a centrifugal turbojet engine designed in France in 1950 to power light aircraft.
