Under contract to the Western Australian Government, under the management of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) for the annual bush fire season. These helicopters act as a tactical Aerial Intelligence Surveillance & Reconnaissance Remote Sensing (AISR) and are equipped with Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) turret and Fire/Flood Mapping Datalink / Video equipment. Also has loudspeakers fitted to the left side. N97MD was built in 1989 as an AS365N1 and later converted to an AS365N3. Previously operated by the Maryland State Police.
