ANA (All Nippon Airways) resumed services today (29 October 2023) between Tokyo-Narita and Perth.
ANA had suspended Perth services on 30 March 2020 due to travel restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. They previously operated Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on the route, competing with Japan Airlines. During 2021 ANA also operated a few freight-only services to Perth.
ANA is using the larger Boeing 787-9 this time, given that there is currently no competition on the route.
Tonight’s resumed service was operated by Boeing 787-9 JA893A. Flight NH881 from Tokyo-Narita landed on runway 21 at 7:49pm, parking at bay 153, Terminal 1. The return flight NH882 departed at 10:31pm.
