IN329 Boeing P-8I Neptune of INAS 316 ‘Condors’, Indian Navy arrived at RAAF Base Pearce, Western Australia on 23 August 2023. The aircraft arrived at RAAF Base Pearce from RAAF Amberley at 12:28pm. This was the first time an Indian Navy P-8I Neptune conducted operations from RAAF Base Pearce. It participated in Exercise MALABAR 2023, joint maritime exercises from 23-26 August 2023 off the Western Australia coast alongside a Royal Australian Air Force P-8A Poseidon from 11 Squadron, working with Royal Australian Navy assets including Anzac-class frigate HMAS Perth (FFH157), Collins-class submarine HMAS Rankin (S78) and the Indian Navy Submarine INS Vagir (S25). The exercise allowed the Indian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force maritime aircraft to further strengthen interoperability. It used callsign ‘CONDOR 1’ during flights on 24 and 25 August 2023. Departed to Jakarta on 26 August 2024. The aircraft is based at INS Hansa, Goa, India.
