One of 56 Bell 206B-1 Kiowa as light observation helicopters ordered by the Australian Army, A17-015 was one of 44 was assembled in Australia by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) at Fisherman's Bend, Melbourne (the first 12 were assembled by Bell in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. MSN 44515/CA32-15. First Flight 18 May 1973, delivered to the Australian Army on 11 June 1973. The Kiowa was formally retired from ADF service on 18 October 2018. One of 56 Bell 206B-1 Kiowa as light observation helicopters ordered by the Australian Army, A17-015 was one of 44 was assembled in Australia by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) at Fisherman’s Bend, Melbourne (the first 12 were assembled by Bell in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. MSN 44515/CA32-15. First Flight 18 May 1973, delivered to the Australian Army on 11 June 1973. The Kiowa was formally retired from ADF service on 18 October 2018.
