One F-35A, A35-052 ‘BARON 11’, performed a flypast over Fremantle Cemetery at 2pm, for the funeral of Sergeant Felix Sainsbury, who was the last surviving World War Two veteran of 3 Squadron.
Both aircraft departed Pearce at 10:30am the next day back to RAAF Curtin and RAAF Tindal as ‘APACHE 11’.
