To mark the 95th anniversary of Qantas, this 737 was repainted in the livery worn by Qantas’ first jet aircraft, the Boeing 707, during 1959-61. It is seen here on its first visit to Perth since being painted in this livery, landing on runway 24 at 8:35pm as QF599 from Adelaide. It departed the next morning as QF650 to Brisbane at 7:47am.

Minovation was a launch customer for this Australian-designed trainer, which was based on the Piper Tomahawk. The aircraft were produced by Dean Wilson Aviation at Kingaroy Airport, Queensland, between 2007 and 2011, when the company was placed into receivership. VH-KMB was built in 2007 and the first Boomerang delivered, on 2 January 2008. The registration KMB stands for Karl and Min’s Boomerang – the owners of Minovation flying school. Allocated RAAF serial A41-212, on 2 November 2015 it arrived at its home base, RAAF Amberley in Queensland and on 5 November 2015 was present at an acceptance ceremony marking the final C-17 delivery. This aircraft has been operating on exercises in the Perth area for a few days. It is seen here passing over Great Northern Highway as it landed on runway 23.
