This marks the temporary return of Qantas' Boeing 747s to Perth, operating domestic flights between Sydney and Perth for crew training purposes, prior to the gradual retirement of the Boeing 747 from Qantas' fleet by 2020. Arrived 22 August 2018 at 10:45pm from Hickam AFB, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, after an overnight stopover at Brisbane as 'REACH 361'. The C-5 brought equipment for Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt at Exmouth, Western Australia. It departed at 7:35pm to Andersen AFB, Guam as 'REACH 361'. Originally delivered in May 1986 as the 4th C-5B Galaxy, with GE TF-39 engines, converted in 2011-2012 to C-5M Super Galaxy with GE F138 (CF6-80C2) engines, new avionics and other enhancements. This was the 8th C-5M conversion. Based at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, USA. — August 2018

9V-SKG Airbus A380-841 (MSN 019) of Singapore Airlines, at Perth Airport - 14 September 2018. *First visit by a Singapore Airlines A380 to Perth*. Flight SQ231 from Singapore to Sydney was approximately 324 kilometres north of Karratha when it diverted to Perth, due to a medical emergency with a 70-year old male passenger. The aircraft landed on runway 21 at 6:20am, and parked at bay 151 at 6:27am, where an ambulance met the aircraft airside to take the passenger to hospital. The aircraft refuelled, then pushed back at 7:27am (as seen here) and took off from runway 21 at 7:38am to continue to Sydney. Behind is VH-YIB Boeing 737-8FE of Virgin Australia taxying out.
