It is now used by air freight contractors and for office accommodation, but is no longer used as a passenger terminal. Named after pioneering aviator Sir Norman Brearley, whose company West Australian Airways Ltd started the first commercial air service in Australia, which departed Geraldton Airport on 5 December 1921 providing a mail service through to Derby in the North of Western Australia.
