Air Mauritius is the flag carrier airline of Mauritius based in Port Louis, Mauritius. It has hubs in Port Louis. Air Mauritius operates scheduled flights between Perth and Port Louis using Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Air Mauritius commenced scheduled charter flights between Perth and Kuala Lumpur on 29 November 1991. Air Mauritius was given approval for full scheduled flights in January 1995. Services were temporarily paused from 22 March 2020 to 2 November 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Air New Zealand is the flag carrier airline of New Zealand based in Auckland, New Zealand. It has hubs in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. Air New Zealand operates scheduled flights between Perth and Auckland – these commenced on 3 December 1981. Air New Zealand previously operated seasonal flights between Christchurch and Perth using Boeing 787-9 aircraft, but this ceased due to issues with the engines on the aircraft. The engine issues also affected Auckland services, which were initially operated by Boeing 787-9 and later also operated by Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. Services were temporarily paused from 28 March 2020 to 19 April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To build capacity while bringing other stored aircraft back online, Air New Zealand wet-leased an Airbus A330-200 of Spanish airline Wamos Air from November 2022 to October 2023 and again from February 2024.

AirAsia X is a low-cost airline based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Sepang. AirAsia X operates scheduled flights between Perth and Kuala Lumpur using Airbus A330-300 aircraft. AirAsia X commenced flights between Perth and Kuala Lumpur on 2 November 2008. Services were temporarily paused from 20 March 2020 to 4 November 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

AirAsia Indonesia is a low-cost airline based in Tangerang, Indonesia. It has hubs in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Denpasar (Bali) and Lombok. AirAsia Indonesia commenced flights between Perth and Denpasar (Bali) using Airbus A320-200 aircraft from 17 July 2009, eventually increasing to four return services per day. These services were temporarily paused from 20 March 2020 to 27 March 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Services to Lombok (QZ470/471 on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun) commenced from 9 June 2019, with the first service operated by PK-AZD. This service ceased due to the COVID-19 pandemic on 18 March 2020, the last service operated by PK-AZE.

AirAsia is a low-cost airline based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has hubs in Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching and Penang. AirAsia is scheduled to commence flights between Perth and Kuala Lumpur using Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft from 11 March 2024. The first service was operated by A321neo 9M-VAA in the ‘3,2,1 take-off’ livery.

This service was suspended on 13 Oct 2024, with the final service operated by
9M-RAM.

All Nippon Airways is a full service airline based in the Shiodome area of Minato ward of Tokyo, Japan. It has hubs in Tokyo-Haneda, Tokyo-Narita, Osaka-Itami and Osaka-Kansai. All Nippon Airways operates scheduled flights between Perth and Tokyo-Narita using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Services commenced on 1 September 2019 with JA814A. Services temporarily paused from 20 March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Services resumed from 29 October 2023 and are seasonal, with the final seasonal service operating on 13 April 2023. Services resumed again fromm 14 October 2024.

Batik Air is a full service airline based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It has hubs in Jakarta-Halim and Jakarta-Soekarno Hatta. Batik Air operates scheduled flights between Perth and Denpasar (Bali) using Airbus A320 or Boeing 737-900(ER) aircraft. The first service to Perth was on 21 June 2017 (arrived Perth 22 June 2017), operated by A320 PK-LAQ. Services later settled on the Boeing 737-900(ER). Services were temporarily paused from 14 March 2020 to 15 September 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Boeing 737-900ER fleet was sold in 2021, and after Perth services resumed, they are operated by A320 aircraft. An additional service from Jakarta (ID6080/ID6081) commenced on 21 September 2023 (arrived 22 Sep 2023), with the first service operated by A320neo PK-BDF.

Batik Air Malaysia (formerly Malindo Air) is a hybrid-full service airline based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It has a hub in Kuala Lumpur. Malindo Air commenced flights to Perth on 19 November 2015 with B737-800 9M-LNW (a B737-900ER was supposed to operate the first service but was swapped at the last minute). The airline initially operated scheduled flights between Perth and Kuala Lumpur using Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900(ER) aircraft, but later sold the 737-900ER fleet and now uses 737-800 and 737-8MAX on Perth services.

Cathay Pacific is the flag carrier airline of Hong Kong based in Hong Kong, China. Cathay Pacific commenced flights between Perth and Hong Kong on 4 February 1970. The airline previously operated daily scheduled flights between Perth and Hong Kong using Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 aircraft. Services were temporarily suspended from 28 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the resumed as occasional freight only flights from May 2020 before passenger services resumed on much lower frequency in September 2020. In February 2021, passenger services were reduced, due to Hong Kong Government crew quarantine restrictions, but freight services continued. Regular passenger services resumed from 1 June 2022, three times per week with A350-900/1000. Services switched to Boeing 777-300ER from 31 Oct 2023.

Citilink was established in July 2001 as a low-cost brand of Garuda Indonesia, based at Jakarta and Juanda. From 30 July 2012 it began operating as a separate subsidiary.
Citilink operated their first service to Perth and Australia on 8 November 2019, operating a daily service between Denpasar (Bali) and Perth with A320neo and A320ceo aircraft (QG542/QG543) with the first service operated by A320neo PK-GTI. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, and Citilink reduced to 12 return services during March 2020, 3 services in April 2020, 5 services in May 2020 and one in June 2020. On 4 July 2023, the airline announced a resumption of services to Perth from Denpasar and a new service from Jakarta. The daily Denpasar service resumed on 19 July 2023 as QG554 / QG555, with the first one operated by A320neo PK-GTI. The Jakarta service QG556 / QG557 commenced on 29 July 2023 (arriving into Perth 30 July 2023), with the first service operated by A320neo PK-GTI.

Emirates is a full service airline based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has hubs in Dubai. Emirates operates scheduled flights between Perth and Dubai using Airbus A380-800 aircraft. Emirates commenced flights between Perth and Dubai on 2 August 2002. Services were temporarily suspended from 25 March 2020, but occasional freight only flights were operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. From 17 June 2020 onwards, they resumed EK420/EK421 passenger services on reduced frequency with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Frequencies later increased back to daily services and from 1 November 2022 returned to daily A380 services.

Malaysia Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Malaysia based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has hubs in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia Airlines operates scheduled flights between Perth and both Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu using Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Malaysia Airlines commenced flights to Perth from Kuala Lumpur in April 1967 as part of Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA). Malaysia Airlines commenced service in its own right from Kuala Lumpur in October 1976. The airline commenced flights to Perth from Kota Kinabalu from 15 January 2011, but MH121/MH120 Kota Kinabalu weekly service operated for the last time on 14 March 2020 by 9M-MXS and ceased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MH127/MH126 Kuala Lumpur daily (night) – Final service 20 March 2020 by 9M-MTY. Flights of less than 10 per month thereafter, freight only. Resumed in 2022. MH125/MH124 Kuala Lumpur 5/week (daytime) – Final service 19 March 2020 by 9M-MXE. One flight in April 2020, none in May or June 2020. Small number of flights in July to October 2020, with final service on 23 October 2020 by 9M-MXY. Later resumed from March 2022. MH125/124 switched to 737-8MAX from 27 Oct 2024.

Philippine Airlines is the flag carrier airline of the Philippines, based in Manila. Philippine Airlines originally commenced Manila – Darwin – Perth services four times per week using Airbus A320s from 3 June 2013. The first service was operated by RP-C8612. This service ceased on 2 September 2013. That earlier indirect service had a flight duration of around 8 hours 25 minutes, plus one hour on the ground at Darwin, making 9.5 hours total, making the flight nearly as long as widebody flights via Singapore. In 2014, the airline announced it was to operate direct services using four leased Boeing 757-200 aircraft, but this never eventuated. The airline announced direct services would commence in 2020 using A321neo aircraft, but this was postponed due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Philippine Airlines finally commenced direct Manila – Perth services from 27 March 2023, using Airbus A321neo aircraft – the first service was operated by RP-C9936.

Qatar Airways is the flag carrier airline of Qatar based in Doha, Qatar. The airline commenced flights to Perth on 3 July 2012 with Boeing 777-200LR A7-BBI. A Boeing 777-300ER was first used from 9 August 2012 (A7-BAE) and later Airbus A380 from 1 May 2018 (A7-API). A380 services temporarily ceased from 31 March 2020, but the airline continued to operate A350-900, A350-1000 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft during the COVID-19 pandemic. A380s resumed services from 6 December 2022.

Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Singapore based in Singapore, Singapore. It has hubs in Singapore. Singapore Airlines operate scheduled flights between Perth and Singapore using Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner and Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA) commenced flights to Perth on 7 March 1967. Singapore Airlines continued the service in its own right from Singapore after the separation of Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA).

South African Airways is the flag carrier airline of South Africa based in Johannesburg, South Africa. South African Airways commenced operations between Johannesburg and Perth on 25 November 1957 with Douglas DC-7B aircraft until 7 March 1967 when operations switched to Boeing 707-320C jets. In January 1977, operations switched to the Boeing 747SP and 747-200. Operations continued until 27 October 1987 when the Australian Government withdrew landing rights due to the political situation in South Africa. Operations restarted on 19 January 1992, again with Boeing 747SP and 747-200s, but occasionally 747-300s and -400s were used. On 3 December 2003, the final SAA Boeing 747 service was flown by ZS-SAL. From 4 December 2003, the route was flown by Airbus A340s, starting with the A340-200 (ZS-SLB). South African Airways operated three versions of A340s (-200/-300/-600) on the route. The A340-200s have been withdrawn from the fleet. The A340-300s and later A330-200s operated the route daily. SAA suffered internal corruption between 2012 and 2017, and due to mismanagement, was reliant on government financial assistance over a 10-year period. This was worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused Perth services to cease, with the final reguilar service operated by A340-300 ZS-SXF on 19-20 March 2020. SAA’s A330-200s were returned to lessors, and the A340s were advertised for sale. The airline now have one A340-300 and two A330-300s. The airline resumed scheduled flights between Perth and Johannesburg using their Airbus A340-300 aircraft, with ZS-SXF arriving on 29 April 2024.

In 1982, Thai Airways started a weekly Bangkok – Perth service operated by Qantas aircraft, but on 1 October 1985, Thai took over from Qantas on the route, using Thai’s own McDonnell-Douglas DC-10-30 aircraft. Over the years, Thai has operated DC-10-30, MD-11, A300-600, A310-300, Boeing 777-300, A330-300 and the Boeing 787 on Perth services. Thai made the first visit to Perth by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on 21 September 2014, when HS-TQB visited on the TG483/TG484 service from Bangkok, which was also HS-TQB’s first international service and first visit to Australia. Thai paused services during the COVID-19 pandemic after 25 March 2020. Services resumed from 5 July 2022 before being suspended again after 29 October 2022.
Services resumed again from 31 March 2024 with HS-TQB.

VietJet Air is a low-cost airline based in Hanoi, Vietnam. It has operating bases at Da Nang, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang. VietJet Air operates scheduled flights between Ho Chi Minh City, Perth and Adelaide using Airbus A321neo aircraft. VietJet commenced flights to Perth on 22 November 2023, with VN-A646 operating the first service.

Vietnam Airlines is the flag carrier of Vietnam. Founded in 1956, it is headquartered in Hanoi, with a hub at Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam Airlines operates services between Ho Chi Minh City and Perth using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Services commenced on 7 December 2023 with VN-A865 operating the first service. Prior to this, VN-A868 visited on 30 November to 2 December 2017 bringing a Vietnam Government trade delegation.
