It departed Busselton back to Richmond on 7 February 2021.
N138CG had previously visited Western Australia in December 2019, to assist with fighting fires in the southwest of WA. It can carry can carry 15,150 litres of fire retardant, while carrying 72 passengers/firefighters.

Flew from Richmond via Ceduna to Busselton on 2 February 2021 to assist with fighting fires in the Perth hills, near Gidgegannup. The aircraft returned to Richmond via Ceduna on 7 February 2021.

On its way to fight massive bush fires in the Perth hills at Gidgegannup and Brigadoon, which destroyed 86 homes. It can carry can carry 15,150 litres of fire retardant, while carrying 72 passengers or firefighters.
The aircraft temporarily redeployed from RAAF Base Richmond to Busselton on the night of 3 February 2021 and today it went into action.
After the fires were under control, it departed Busselton back to Richmond on 6 February 2021.

N138CG had previously visited Western Australia in December 2019, to assist with fighting fires in the southwest of WA.

Built in 1969, previously serial number 956 of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. It now carries the name ‘Ty’, after one of the Viking gods – the upholder of law and justice.
