A6-EOE Airbus A380-861 of Emirates in ‘Year of the Fiftieth’ livery, over the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia – 19 February 2023.
2021 was declared as the “Year of the 50th” by the President of the UAE, to celebrate 50 years since its formation in 1971. A6-EOE wore this livery from October 2021 – March 2023. It then became the first A380 to be painted in Emirates’ revised livery.

A much delayed flight QF10D (D = delayed) from London-Heathrow heading east at 6:59pm to join the approach to Perth Airport’s runway 21. It departed London 30 hours 34 minutes late.

This aircraft was wet-leased (aircraft plus crew) from Spanish airline Wamos Air to enable Air New Zealand to build capacity, while bringing other stored aircraft back online after the COVID-19 pandemic.
EC-NCK was flown to New Zealand on 10 November 2022 and entered service on the Perth route from 15 November 2022, operating daily as NZ173 from Auckland and departing as NZ174. EC-NCK operated its final Perth-Auckland service on 27 April 2023 and was replaced by EC-NBN until 28 October 2023, when Air New Zealand resumed its own Boeing 787 service on the route.
