VietJet Air’s first direct service between Hi Chin Minh City and Perth commenced today.
The first direct service between Perth and Vietnam operates five times per week on Monday to Thursday and Sunday using A321neo (LR) aircraft, which have 230 seats.
Flight VJ89 operates Ho Chi Minh City – Perth, arriving at 2:20pm, departing at 3:20pm to Adelaide. The return service VJ90 operates the following day from Adelaide, arriving in Perth at 8:55am, and departing to Ho Chi Minh City at 9:55am.
The first direct service from Vietnam was operated by Airbus A321-271NX (A321neo LR) VN-A646. Flight VJ89 from Ho Chi Minh City touched down on runway 21 at 2:25pm, parking on bay 153 at 2:34pm. VJ89 pushed back from bay 153 at and took off from runway 03 at 3:51pm.

Flight VJ89 from Ho Chi Minh City, landing on runway 03 at 2:27pm. It departed at 3:51pm to Adelaide.
This new service operates as VJ89 Ho Chi Minh City – Perth – Adelaide, and the next morning returns as VJ80 flying Adelaide – Perth – Ho Chi Minh City.
